Restaurant Industry Best Practices Awards to Recognize Outstanding Performance in the Workplace

Black Box Intelligence (formerly TDn2K) has announced the finalists for the 2018 Best Practices Awards. These awards celebrate extraordinary workplaces and operations in the foodservice industry. Winners will be honored January 29th, 2018 at the annual Global Best Practices Conference held in Dallas, Texas.
The 2018 finalists are: Big Boy Restaurants, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, California Pizza Kitchen, City Barbecue, Dave & Buster’s, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House, Del Taco, Denny’s, Donatos Pizza, Eat’n Park, Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse, Lucille’s Smokehouse BBQ, Nando’s Peri Peri Chicken, Ninety Nine Restaurants, Olive Garden, Panda Express, Panera Bread, Perkin’s Restaurant & Bakery, Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse, The Capital Grille, The Cheesecake Factory, The Wendy’s Company and Whataburger. There will be a winner chosen for each of the quick service, fast casual, family dining, casual dining, upscale casual and fine dining segments.

The finalists for these prestigious awards were evaluated on their retention of both managers and hourly employees, workforce diversity and compensation practices, along with their initiatives in community involvement, corporate responsibility, employee foundations and sustainable business practices.
In addition to the Best Practices Awards, the 2018 Workplace Legacy Award, Heart of the Workplace Award and Diamond Catalyst Award will be announced. The Workplace Legacy Award recognizes a leader in the restaurant industry who has clearly demonstrated success in balancing superior people practices and best-in-class operational results. In addition, their employees, organizations and communities have benefited from their leadership. The Heart of the Workplace Award is presented to the company or person that demonstrates significant commitment to and investment in their employees and communities. Finally, the Diamond Catalyst Award will be presented for the fourth time. The Diamond Catalyst Award is awarded to a member of Workforce Intelligence (formerly People Report) and Financial Intelligence (formerly Black Box Intelligence) that is recognized for excellence in both workforce and operational performance.
